YAY!
B29 strEATery Open House!
I felt so lucky to be among the invitees for this open house and tour of new food truck, B29 strEATery: a new venture from Dustan Bristol (Bristol Bacon anyone? YUM!!) and Greg Lamm of the award winning Brick 29 Bistro in wonderful Downtown Nampa.
The truck is large and in charge! A gourmet kitchen on wheels, with enough room for several people to cook, and work with customers on the street. I enjoyed samples of a delicious pear salad; BLAT: Bristol Bacon, butter-lettuce, avocado, and tomato on Cafe de Paris bread; a KILLER corned-beef sandwich on rye; and a white chocolate bread pudding (which was good, but sorry guys, Salt Tears has you beat on the bread pudding).
I can’t wait to try B29 strEATery in the field, and hope that I get to very soon, and many times! With menu items like:
—> “Grilled Cheese” BBQ Pulled Pork, Garlic Aioli, Monterey Jack
—> Snake River Farms Kobe Patty Melt with caramelized onions, jalapeno aioli, and choice of blue cheese, swiss or cheddar cheese
—> Tempura Vegetables with Agedashi Tofu, Umami Broth and Yakisoba Noodles
—> And Desserts: Doughnuts with Dipping Sauce or Gingersnap and Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich
…they won’t be able to keep me away! Main courses run $6 - 8, with sides and desserts about $4.
Sounds like they’ll be making regular stops at Meridian Urban Market on Thursday evenings, and East End Market in Bown Crossing on Sunday afternoons. Follow them via the following interweb tracking links, for the latest information!
